Where are my notes stored?
The main database is stored on your iPhone. With a local engine, classification, search and answers are processed on the device.
Does it need internet access?
Local models may need internet for their first download. After that, their features can be used offline. OpenAI and OpenRouter do require internet access.
What is the difference between iPhone and iPhone Pro?
iPhone uses Apple’s built-in model: it is immediate and needs no extra download. iPhone Pro runs Qwen through MLX: it requires an initial download and can understand more complex instructions. External server uses OpenAI or OpenRouter with your own key.
Does Free use a worse AI?
No. Free and Pro use the same engines. Pro expands usage and unlocks automations; the intelligence of Free is not reduced.
What does Free include?
Free includes unlimited saves and 15 questions a week, every engine, Home, Notes, Calendar, basic reminders and manual context selection. The counter resets every Monday using the iPhone time zone.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Estratum Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. The App Store shows the price. Local AI has no tokens or per-query cost; optional external providers may apply their own charges.
Why is a note still being classified?
Estratum saves the text first so it cannot be lost, then organizes it. Check that the selected engine is ready and reopen the app. If it persists, contact support without saving the same text again.
Why did I not receive a notification?
Only schedulable items create notifications. Check iOS permissions and confirm the entry has a future date, is not completed and includes a time when needed.
How does Apple Calendar work?
If enabled, Estratum creates a separate calendar named Estratum and copies its schedule there. It does not import appointments from your other calendars.
Can I correct or delete a classification?
Yes. Open the note from Notes, Calendar, TODAY or a related answer. You can edit it, complete it, move it to another context or delete it.
