Estratum is an iPhone app that saves, organises and retrieves the notes you write. By downloading and using it, you accept these terms.

2. Licence

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Estratum on the devices associated with your Apple account, in line with App Store rules. The software is not sold to you: its use is licensed to you.

You may not resell, rent, redistribute or decompile the app, or attempt to extract its source code, except where the law expressly allows you to.

3. Your notes are yours

The content you write, dictate or photograph inside Estratum is yours. We claim no rights over it, we do not use it to train models and we do not analyse it. The database lives on your iPhone.

You are responsible for what you save and for keeping copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Estratum includes a backup feature; using it is your choice.

4. Purchases are handled by Apple

Estratum Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it does not renew and is not billed periodically. The governing price is the one shown by the App Store in your country at the time of purchase, including any applicable taxes.

Payment, invoicing and distribution are handled by Apple, and Apple's own terms also apply to the purchase. The purchase is tied to your Apple account: you can restore it from within the app when reinstalling or moving to a new device.

Refunds are handled by Apple through its own support process, not by us. If you believe a charge is wrong, write to us anyway and we'll help point you the right way.

If you choose to connect an external AI provider (OpenAI or OpenRouter) with your own key, that relationship is between you and that provider, under their prices and terms. Estratum charges nothing for it and is not a party to that contract.

5. What Estratum is and is not

Estratum organises and retrieves what you write, and uses artificial intelligence to do it. Like any AI system, it can get things wrong: filing something in the wrong place, misreading a date, or not finding a note first time.

It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, interpret symptoms, give medical advice or replace a professional, even if you keep health notes in it. The same applies to legal, tax and financial advice.

Reminders and alerts are a help, not a guarantee: they depend on system permissions, the state of your device and iOS decisions outside our control. Do not rely on Estratum alone for anything where forgetting would have serious consequences.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Estratum for unlawful activities, or to store content that is illegal to hold. Because the app runs on your device and we have no access to your notes, this obligation rests entirely with you.

7. Availability and changes

Estratum may receive updates that change, add or remove features. We aim for no update to cost you data you have already saved. If a paid feature were to be substantially withdrawn, you will be told inside the app.

These terms may be updated; the date above shows the last revision. If a change is significant, it will be announced in the app or on this site.

8. Liability

Estratum is provided as is, with the reasonable care of a product in active development. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for indirect losses arising from use of the app, or for data loss where backups have not been kept.

None of the above limits the rights granted to you as a consumer under applicable consumer protection law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the bodies that apply under the relevant rules, without limiting the rights that protect consumers and users.
